Denver restaurant reopens hours after burglary

Jan 29, 2026, 9:51 AM

This is the Denver community spirit story of the day! Imagine having your business burglarized and then a few hours later open again. Sad that this is not the first time but I support them 100%!

Adobo Restaurant & Bar on Federal Boulevard reopened on Wednesday, hours after burglars broke in and stole the cash register and safe, marking the third burglary at the location in nearly five years.

Chef Blaine Baggao said burglars broke through the door between 3:36 a.m. and 3:40 a.m. on Wednesday. Despite the loss, which included revenue earned during the National Western Stock Show, Baggao reopened the restaurant later that day.

For Baggao, the restaurant represents more than a business. As a Filipino American who grew up in New Mexico, he said cooking became his path to exploring his heritage.
