Could Denver International Airport become its own city? The short answer is maybe.
The Aerotropolis Regional Committee in Denver announced plans to develop an “aerotropolis” around Denver International Airport, focusing on commercial and industrial development. The project, known as Colorado Aerotropolis, aims to attract businesses in industries such as advanced manufacturing, aerospace, agriculture, renewable energy, and healthcare.
The development will primarily consist of business parks, industrial buildings, distribution centers, and commercial office buildings. With the airport’s strategic location, the project aims to drive new business opportunities and compatible development in the region.
The timeline for the project is still pending, and the focus is on businesses requiring time-sensitive manufacturing.
