Colorado’s signature dessert is all about the Western Slope

When you think of desserts in Colorado, what comes to mind? Stacker just looked at all 50 states and what desserts each state is know for and why. For Colorado, it all has to do with the Western Slope.
The dessert Colorado is known for and the one everyone should try? Palisade peach pie!
According to Stacker’s website,
Palisade peach pie, which is prepared just like a traditional peach pie except for the use of this local fruit delicacy, can be found on restaurant menus and sold at bakeries and markets throughout Colorado.
Taking a look at Colorado’s neighbors:
- Kansas: Peppernuts or Peppernut cookies
- Nebraska: Butter Brickle Ice Cream
- New Mexico: Biscochito
- Utah: Jell-O
