Colorado one of hardest places to live and save money

Colorado is beautiful, the weather is wonderful and it’s an expensive state to live in. Colorado is also one of the hardest states to live in and save money.

A new study by Forbes found that Colorado is the ninth worst state to live in to save money.

30.28 percent of households have difficulty paying usual expenses in Colorado. Colorado residents spend 22.12 percent of their income on housing costs.

The worst state to live in and save money? California, where 34.53 percent of households have difficulty paying usual expenses and the expense of housing costs eats up 24.51 percent of the income.

The best state to live and save money? North Dakota. Just 25.66 percent of North Dakotans have trouble paying usual expenses, and housing costs are just 14.39 percent of income.
