Adele gets emotional hugging Celine Dion during Vegas residency

During Adele’s performance on Saturday night at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, the 16-time Grammy-winning British singer teared up when she spotted the legend, Celine Dion in the audience.

Adele was singing, “When We Were Young,” when she spotted the 56-year-old Canadian icon sitting in the VIP section.

In fan captured videos, you can see Adele walking the crowd singing and then stops and gets emotional when she first sees Dion in the crowd, sharing a tender embrace with the 6-time Grammy winner, who affectionately cradles Adele’s face in her hands when she sees that she is crying.

Dion opened the Colosseum with her first residency back in 2003, and was seated with her sons, Nelson and Eddy Angélil, who comforted their mom after that sentimental moment.

Adele’s residency continues through late November, with Adele saying that she will take a lengthy break from music when her Vegas run comes to a close.
