A Baby’s First Tooth Is Now A Floral Event Apparently, And The Internet Has Thoughts

A photo making the rounds on Instagram is going viral — and not exactly in a “aww, how sweet” kind of way.
The image shows baby Jacob, sitting proudly in his high chair, completely surrounded by a lavish blue floral arrangement, custom sign and all, celebrating his very first tooth.
Yes. A tooth. One tooth.
The elaborate setup, created by Sydney-based floral designer Negin Mansouri, has thousands of people online convinced that modern parenting has officially jumped the shark. Mansouri, to her credit, told news.com.au she believes all moments deserve to be celebrated.
And honestly? She’s not wrong.
Look, as a mom I completely understand the urge to document everything. I still have my daughters’ first lost tooth in a tiny little envelope somewhere in a junk drawer. But a full floral installation? That’s… a commitment.
The internet is being the internet about it — clutching pearls, typing in all caps — but at the end of the day, nobody was harmed. Jacob looks thrilled. The flowers are gorgeous.
And that baby has absolutely no idea what’s happening.
