Girl Scouts are adding new cookies in 2027 – and one is for dogs!

This is the kind of news that makes my cookie-loving, dog-loving Colorado heart heart very happy.
Girl Scouts of the USA announced two new cookies are coming in 2027: Sparkables and Patch Pals.
Sparkables will be the organization’s first allergy-friendly cookie. Girl Scouts partnered with Partake to create a crunchy oatmeal cookie with chocolate chips and sprinkles that is made without the nine major food allergens: wheat, tree nuts, peanuts, milk, eggs, soy, fish, sesame and shellfish. So basically, more people can join the cookie fun. Love that!
But you know what really got my attention? Patch Pals!
For the first time ever, Girl Scouts will offer a cookie made just for dogs. The blueberry muffin-flavored dog cookie was created with BARK, the company known for making pups very, very happy. I mean, come on. Girl Scout Cookie season is already a big deal around Denver – from neighbors selling boxes on the porch to tables outside local grocery stores – and now our dogs get to be part of it? That is adorable.
As always, if you or someone in your family has a serious food allergy, check the packaging before digging in. And for the pups, Patch Pals are the ones to share – not your Thin Mints.

2027 cannot get here fast enough. Cookie season in Colorado is about to have a little more crunch, a little more sparkle and a whole lot more tail wagging!!!
