Colorado bear trapped in SUV honks horn all night long

Honk if you are a bear.
A bear got trapped in an SUV in Gold Hill, CO and honked the horn all night long trying to get out.
Somehow, the bear managed to open the unlocked SUV door, climb inside, and get trapped when the door shut behind it.
Once stuck, the bear leaned on the horn — all. night. long. He was trying to say, “someone get me outta here.”
When the SUV’s owner finally went outside Sunday morning to investigate, he was greeted by a very large, very unwelcome passenger.
The bear had even damaged the interior of the vehicle and set off the driver’s side airbag.
So how do you get a bear out of your car without getting too close?
This guy had a genius plan. He tied a long rope to the rear passenger door handle, walked to a safe distance, and pulled the rope to pop the door open.
Within seconds, the bear hopped out and bolted into the woods.
The lesson here? Lock your car doors — even if you live in the mountains. Colorado Parks and Wildlife says bear sightings are up this year due to historically low snowpack, which means bears are heading into neighborhoods looking for food.
Your car might just look like an all-you-can-eat buffet with a comfy seat.
