National Drug Take Back Day – April 25
National Drug Take Back Day is coming up on April 25th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.—a safe, simple way to dispose of unused, unwanted, or expired medications.
For drop-off locations check on the DEA website here;
Accepted items:
• Prescription pills (please empty into plastic bags for anonymous disposal)
• Over-the-counter medications
• Liquid products like cough syrup in original, tightly sealed containers
• E-cigarettes without batteries
Items not accepted:
• Thermometers
• Needles or sharps
• Medication/medical waste from businesses or clinics
• Liquids or ointments not in original containers
Reminder: Remove all personal information from pill bottles or packaging before drop-off. All collected items will be safely destroyed.
