Ski and board season is upon us!

Arapahoe Basin and Keystone Resort both announced that they will open for the 2024/2025 season on Saturday, Nov. 2.

A-Basin announced that on opening day, guests can hit the slopes on High Noon, which you can get to via the Black Mountain Express lift. They’re also planning to ramp up snowmaking and open more terrain soon, starting with Lenawee Face and Dercum Dash.

Just a heads up, opening day isn’t for newbies since High Noon is an intermediate run. The beginner areas will be available in a few weeks, as mentioned in an announcement.

“Every winter at The Basin brings something new,” said Alan Henceroth, the Chief Operating Officer of Arapahoe Basin. “But this season, it’s all about giving skiers and riders the A-Basin experience they know and love — our mountain, our team, our vibe. This year will be no different.”

Lifts at A-Basin will run from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., seven days a week. On opening day, there will be giveaways and donuts for the first guests in line, plus a DJ spinning tunes from 8:30 to 10 a.m.

Keystone will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., with night skiing available until 7 p.m. on select Fridays, Saturdays, and holidays starting on Thanksgiving. The Mountain House base area is set to open around mid-November, depending on the weather and conditions.
