DIA adds three new food and drink options

Denver International Airport now boasts three new spots for eating and sipping in Concourse C.

The long-awaited announcement was made on DIA’s Instagram on Tuesday that restaurants Bar Dough and Mister Oso and café Aviano Coffee are open for business.

The concourse has the biggest dining area at DIA, sporting 8,572 square feet. All three spots are located near gate C54.

The additions have existing locations in Denver: Bar Dough, a “modern-rustic Italian spot,” sits in the LoHi neighborhood; Mister Oso, a Mexican joint with the possession of the Bib Gourmand Michelin award, has locations in RiNo and Wash Park; Aviano Coffee has two locations, both in Cherry Creek.

The three businesses all fall under the umbrella of the Culinary Creative restaurant group. The group originally signed a licensing agreement in September and October of 2021 to bring all three to DIA in 2022, but didn’t end up materializing until two years later.

According to Juan Padro, the owner of Culinary Creative, as reported by the Denver Post, the idea was for the airport to focus on “local, recognizable brands.”

As the world’s sixth-busiest airport according to CNN, it’s not uncommon for there to be several new eateries and cafés pop up within a year. In 2024 alone, the airport has opened Snarf’s Sandwiches (Concourse A), Elway’s Taproom and Grill (Concourse A), Tacos Tequila Whiskey (Concourse A), Peet’s Coffee (Concourse A), Salt & Grinder (Concourse B), Mizu Sushi-Izakaya (Concourse B), El Chingon (Concourse B) and a separate Aviano Coffee (Concourse B).

Bar Dough operates as a sit-down restaurant, while the other two will look more similar to fast casual dining.
