Dove recommits to never using AI images in it’s ADS

Apr 9, 2024, 4:35 PM | Updated: Apr 10, 2024, 4:05 pm

You can count on Dove to keep beauty real. It’s been 20 years since Dove launched the “Campaign for Real Beauty,” using real women of all ages, size and race as their models.

For 20 years Dove has done what they set out to do. Inspire women using realistic beauty standards.

Experts are predicting that by the year 2026, 90% of the content online will be generated by AI. To combat that, Dove has said again that it is committed to never using AI to represent real people in ads for its products.

Alessandro Manfredi, chief marketing officer for Dove, said, “As we navigate the opportunities and challenges that come with new and emerging technology, we remain committed to protecting, celebrating and championing real beauty. Pledging to never use AI in our communications is just one step. We will not stop until beauty is a source of happiness, not anxiety, for every woman and girl.”

Does this make you want to buy Dove products?

Were you aware how much online content was AI generated?
