Nearly 100 grocery stores in Colorado are slated to be sold by the parent company Kroger. The breakdown is 89 Safeways and two Albertsons in Colorado will potentially be sold.
The 25 million dollar merger between Kroger and Safeway has regulators concerned about one company owning too much of the grocery stores.
In February, Colorado Attorney General Phil Weiser filed a lawsuit in Denver District Court to block the proposed Kroger-Albertsons merger.
