Zelle app no longer offering money transfer services

After getting scammed on Facebook and having money taken through Zelle, I do understand the decision.
The money app Zelle will no longer allow users to send and receive money transfers. However, the platform’s services remain available to some.
The ability to transfer money through the Zelle mobile app became unavailable last Tuesday.
Now, Zelle is only available through “more than 2,200 banks and credit unions” in the U.S. that offer the platform through their websites or mobile apps, according to the Zelle website.
In December 2024, the U.S. Consumer Financial Protection Bureau filed a lawsuit against JPMorgan Chase, Bank of America and Wells Fargo for failing to protect consumers from alleged “widespread fraud” through Zelle. Customers named in the lawsuit reported losing more than $870 million over a seven-year period.
I guess I can’t feel that bad over my $1,000. P.S., anyone have an extra $1,000 lying around? Just kidding, I will have to work with my bank, and I deserve it after falling for the scam. Be vigilant!
