Who let the mules out in Frisco

Sep 21, 2024, 7:00 AM | Updated: 12:05 pm

Only in Colorado!

Fourteen mules escaped near Frisco Adventure Park and crossed Highway 9 to St. Anthony Summit Hospital. The mules are owned by Two Below Zero, a Frisco-based entertainment company.

The Summit County Sheriff’s Office received a call about the mules running across the highway at 2:30 p.m. Deputies, animal control officers, and Two Below Zero employees worked together to wrangle the mules. The mules were seen near the Flight for Life helicopter launch pad and the recreation path in Frisco.

All 14 mules were captured by 4:30 p.m. The Sheriff’s Office has not confirmed how or where the mules escaped from, but it was in Frisco.

The mules are used for entertainment purposes, including sleigh rides. The incident caused a temporary disruption in the area but no injuries were reported during the mules’ escape and capture.
