What’s Up Colorado: Arvada Winterfest, Jewelry, Gem & Mineral Show and Cupid’s Undie Run

Feb 26, 2026, 12:53 PM | Updated: 4:29 pm

Looking for something fun to do this weekend? Whether you’re into cultural celebrations, sparkling gems, or running through the streets in your underwear for charity (yes, really), we’ve got you covered. Here are three events worth checking out!

Arvada Winterfest Returns to Olde Town Square

When: Saturday, February 28 | 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Where: Olde Town Square, 5726 Olde Wadsworth Blvd., Arvada
Cost: Free
Website:  https://www.arvadaco.gov/496/Arvada-Winterfest

Arvada Winterfest is back for another year of celebrating the diverse cultures that make up the Arvada community. Since its debut in 2018, Winterfest has become one of the city’s most beloved community events.   This free, family-friendly festival features live cultural performances on two stages, ice sculpting, craft vendors, food trucks, games for kids, and hot drinks to keep you warm. It’s a great way to get outside and experience the arts, food, and traditions of Arvada’s diverse community.

DGMG Jewelry, Gem & Mineral Show

When: Friday, February 27 – Sunday, March 1
Hours: Fri & Sat 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. | Sun 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Where: Jefferson County Fairgrounds, 15200 West 6th Avenue, Golden
Cost: Free admission and free parking
Website: https://denvergem.org/show/

The Denver Gem & Mineral Guild’s annual show is a paradise for rock lovers and crystal collectors. Browse minerals from around the world, ancient fossils, glowing fluorescent rocks, and handcrafted jewelry. Watch skilled lapidary artists cut and polish gems, and don’t miss the $1 grab bags — a fun way to jumpstart a collection with 8 minerals plus a chance to win prizes.

Cupid’s Undie Run Denver

When: Saturday, February 28 | 12 p.m. – 4 p.m. (run starts at 2 p.m.)
Where: Stoney’s Bar and Grill, 1111 Lincoln Street, Denver
Cost: $45 registration (must be 21+)
Website: https://join.ctf.org/event/2026-cupids-undie-run-denver/e705268

Ready to freeze your buns off for a good cause? Cupid’s Undie Run brings hundreds of brave souls together to run a “mile-ish” in their underwear — all to raise money for neurofibromatosis research through the Children’s Tumor Foundation. The event kicks off at noon with music and dancing, the run launches at 2 p.m. and it wraps up with a dance party. Since 2010, Cupid’s Undie Run has raised more than $25.7 million nationwide to fight NF. It’s ridiculous, it’s cold and it’s for a great cause.
