Feb 19, 2026, 11:57 AM | Updated: 2:39 pm

Looking for something fun to do this weekend? Here are four can’t-miss events. Whether you want a big night out in Denver, a little home-and-garden motivation, an adorably chaotic dog parade or a reason to wander a mountain town and watch artists work.

Celebrate the Lunar New Year! (Year of the Horse)

Celebrate the Lunar New Year at the Far East Center in Denver’s Little Saigon on Feb. 21-22 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. It’s free and family-friendly, with lion and dragon dances, cultural performances, a kids cultural fashion show parade, plus food trucks, local eats, vendors and shopping. Grab the family and head to 333 S. Federal Blvd. for two days of Year of the Horse fun. For details, visit https://www.facebook.com/fareastcenter

Frisco’s Mardi Gras 4Paws dog parade (yes, you should go)

Where: Frisco

Cripple Creek Ice Festival (through Sunday)

Want something free and genuinely cool? The Cripple Creek Ice Festival continues through Sunday with professional ice sculptors carving live along the streets. Winners are announced Sunday at 1 p.m., but the best part is watching the sculptures take shape in real time.
