Oct 29, 2026, 12:21 PM
Colorado is fully in Halloween weekend mode, with costumes, candy, football, hockey and a spooky symphony moment. Whether you’re taking the kids trick-or-treating or just planning your weekend around the Broncos, here’s a few things going on around Colorado.
Trick or Treat in Olde Town Arvada
An Olde Town Arvada tradition returns at 5 p.m. Friday with a free trick-or-treat event for families.
Bring your little monsters, ghosts, goblins and superheroes to visit participating Olde Town businesses. This year’s event also includes trunk-or-treating with classic and unique vehicles, plus a free haunted house experience.
Candy, costumes and a little spooky fun? That’s a solid Friday night.

Halloween Parade and Trick or Treat Street
The 47th annual Halloween Parade and Trick or Treat Street begins at 10 a.m. Saturday, with the parade starting at Roosevelt Park.
Kids of all ages are invited to wear costumes and join the foot parade along Main Street. After the parade, families can stop by downtown businesses for Trick or Treat Street.
Basically, it’s a great chance to give those costumes a test run before Halloween night.

The full movie will be shown as the Colorado Symphony plays the music in real time. Performances are set for Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Families are welcome, and costumes are encouraged.
So yes, it is absolutely acceptable to dress as Jack Skellington in public.

Broncos vs. Chiefs at Mile High
The Denver Broncos have a big AFC West matchup this weekend as the Kansas City Chiefs come to Empower Field at Mile High.
The Broncos, 5-2, host the Chiefs, 5-1, at 2:25 p.m. Sunday. It’s one of the biggest tests of the season so far for Denver, and you can expect Broncos Country to be loud.
This is also your reminder to locate the lucky jersey now, not five minutes before kickoff.
