Sep 1, 2026, 4:00 PM
After several months of testing throughout Denver, Waymo has officially begun delivering public rides in Denver today.
Waymo, the driverless fully autonomous ride service, touts itself as a driver that “never gets tired, angry or distracted” and claims it is 10 times safer than the average human driver.
They will be kicking off service only for a limited amount of users and only throughout about an area around Denver along I-25 and I-70, just north of I-270 down south past Washington Park, west past Sloan’s Lake and east towards Central Park neighborhood. This will include the areas around Empower Field, Ball Arena and Coors Field.
Waymo says currently tens of thousands of Denver residents have already joined the waitlist.
