Waymo brings self-driving cars to Denver streets

Not sure if I would want to be the first to try this service but it may be really good for Denver.

Waymo says they are going to be “elevating the Waymo experience in the Mile High City” as they will arrive in Denver this fall to lay the groundwork for a future fully autonomous service.

Waymo will arrive in Denver with a fleet of Jaguar I-PACE with the 5th-generation Waymo Driver and Zeekr RT vehicles equipped with the 6th-generation Waymo Driver, according to the announcement.

Waymo said that the next-generation system is informed by years of winter weather experience from Michigan, upstate New York and the Sierra Nevada. The system is also engineered to “autonomously sustain operations in harsher climates.”

Still no flying cars but this is a step in that direction.
