Walmart drone delivery is coming to Denver

Oct 5, 2026, 10:58 AM | Updated: Oct 7, 2026, 11:33 am

Your last-minute Denver Walmart run may soon come with a landing zone.

Walmart and Wing announced they’re expanding drone delivery to the Denver metro area in 2027. Seattle is also on the list, joining other cities where the service is already available, including Dallas-Fort Worth, Atlanta, Houston and Orlando.

The drones can fly up to 60 mph, carry up to 5 pounds and deliver thousands of everyday items. Think coffee, trail mix, Halloween candy, allergy medicine, electronics and those “I forgot one thing” grocery items.

Walmart says deliveries can arrive in as little as 30 minutes, with the actual drone flight often taking 5 minutes or less.

Once the service is available here, eligible customers will see drone delivery pop up as an option in the Walmart app or on Walmart.com. Orders will also be available through the Wing app.

So yes, in the not-too-distant future, your coffee beans or candy stash may arrive by air. Denver, we are officially living in the future!
