Unbelievable: Driver Caught Going at 145 MPH on I-25 in Colorado.

The Colorado State Patrol says one of its troopers was able to avert possible disaster after they stopped a driver going 70 miles per hour over the speed limit.

“One of our troopers stopped a driver going 145 mph in a 75 mph zone today,” State Patrol wrote on social media, showing a photo of the speed gun. “Luckily, he was able to get them stopped before they hurt themselves or anyone else.”

The CSP said the driver was pulled over on I-25 in Monument, near exit 161.
In Colorado, penalties for going more than 25 mph over the speed limit include a minimum $150 fine, a minimum of 10 days in jail, or both. The offense can also be accompanied by Reckless Driving charges, depending on the severity of the offense.
