Today is ‘National Cheeseburger Day’ – Savor the savings we found

If it’s one thing we like, even on our “diet,” it’s a good cheeseburger.

Well tomorrow, Wednesday, September 18, is National Cheeseburger Day, and many fast-food chains like Smashburger, McDonald’s, Burger King, and Wendy’s offer major discounts and freebies to celebrate.

Here’s the list of deals that we know of at the time of publishing:

• Smashburger is offering $5 classic single burgers all-day. To order online, use the code CLASSIC24. Any purchase on that date will generate a coupon 50% off a burger or sandwich on a future visit. They are also giving away 500 free “Classic Smash Singles” at their Lowry location, 200 Quebec St. Denver, while supplies last.
• Cherry Cricket has half-priced burgers and live music.
• BurgerFi is offering their signature BurgerFi Cheeseburger for $4 with purchase of a beverage. Dine-in only.
• McDonald’s is offering 50-cent double cheeseburgers exclusively through its mobile app.
• Burger King is giving away free cheeseburgers to members of its Royal Perks loyalty program with any purchase of $1 or more on National Cheeseburger Day.
• At Wendy’s, you can score a junior bacon cheeseburger for just 1 cent with any purchase made through the Wendy’s app.
• Buffalo Wild Wings is offering a buy one, get one free cheeseburger deal for members of their Blazin’ Rewards loyalty program.
• Denny’s Rewards members can receive 20% off any burger on the menu.
• Red Robin is offering $10 gourmet cheeseburgers with bottomless sides. (Dine in only)
• Wayback Burgers is offering a buy one, get one FREE deal on their “Classic Burger” via their app.
• Carl’s Jr. has half-priced double cheeseburgers purchased through their app.
• Jack in the Box customers can get a free Jumbo Jack cheeseburger with any order of $1 or more through their app or website. You must join the Jack Pack Rewards program.
• Applebee’s: The Classic Bacon Cheeseburger, Classic Cheeseburger and Classic Burger will sell for $8.99 with a side of fries.
• Dairy Queen: DQ is offering a free original cheeseburger signature stackburger with an app or online order of $1 or more from Sept. 16 to Sept. 22.
• Del Taco: There’s a buy-one-get-one offer on Double Del Cheeseburgers for Del Yeah! Rewards members.
• Bar Louie: Louie’s Choice Cheeseburgers are available with fries or tots for $9.95 11 a.m.-3 p.m. at participating locations.
• Sonic: The drive-in joint is handing out their quarter-pounder double cheeseburger for $2 on Wednesday.
