This is Denver’s most authentic Italian restauraunt

I am a born and raised Jersey girl, I just moved to Denver a few months ago. Where I lived in New Jersey, I was only a 30 minute drive to New York City, so there was a strong Italian influence on all of our local dining options.
When I moved to Denver the first thing I wanted to find was a high quality Italian restaurant to fill that void I’ve been feeling since leaving the east coast.
I had started asking around my office for some suggestions and one place kept popping up, Venice. A restaurant named after one of the most famous cities in Italy, you would hope it would live up to your expectations and trust me it did!
This past weekend I visited their location that is right across from Union Station. I highly recommend making a reservation prior because they were packed.
When you walk into the restaurant you are greeted by a mural of Venice on the far wall. Where we were seated, the mural served as a beautiful backdrop to our meal.
For the wine lovers, they have a massive wine cellar, with over 1,000 wines from all over the world to choose from.
Once we put in our drink orders we were brought fresh bread, which was exactly what i had been missing since leaving the east coast.
This bread is to die for, I can assume it is made in house by how fresh it tastes and you know that it’s high quality bread from the airy wholes in it.
We ordered two appetizers, the Burrata e Prosciutto which is Beets, creamy burrata, wild arugula, Parma prosciutto, cherry tomatores, olives, arugula pesto, balsamic reduction.
This dish was fantastic, the burrata was creamy and the balsamic gave a nice touch.
I had a Cesar salad which is a classic but was very fresh.
Then we moved onto entrees and I had to try their Spaghetti and homemade meatballs with roasted garlic, fresh tomatoes and marinara sauce. Phenomenal meatballs and the sauce on the pasta era divina.
They offer other pasta pairings including seafood and ossoboccu, and they all are mouthwatering.
My boyfriend had Ravioli d’ Aragosta off the specials menu. Ravioli made in house and filled with Maine Lobster served with shrimp and a light cream sauce.
Their food is top tier Italian and either of their two locations make for a great spots for a romantic date night. Click here to check out their website.
