These are the best tacos in Colorado, according to Yelp

National Taco Day is coming up in October, but Coloradans don’t need a holiday or Taco Tuesday to find some of the best Mexican food in the country. National Taco Day falls on the first Tuesday of October…October 1st, according to the National Day Calendar. Yelp recently compiled a list of the best restaurants for tacos in each state, naming Tacos Aya Yay in Lafayette as the best taco spot in Colorado.

This isn’t the first time the restaurant has been named among the best spots-Tacos Aya Yay was featured in Yelp’s list of the top taco spots in the U.S. in 2022, plus earlier this year, Yelp named Tacos Aya Yay, as well as Xicamiti La Taqueria Bistro in Golden, among the top 25 best Mexican food restaurants in the country.

According to the chef at Tacos Aya Yay  Jose Pantoja and his wife Emily Martinez it’s a working person’s taco. Small, portable, and made with simple ingredients. Tere are no frills and all flavor, topped with you choice of more than10 hand-cut and freshly seasoned proteins
