Go ahead and brace yourself, Denver moms. This weekend is about to get expensive.
Starbucks is bringing back the iconic Unicorn Frappuccino for a limited time, and it’s the drink’s first return in nearly a decade. We’re talking mango flavors, blue drizzle, whipped cream and enough pink and blue toppings to send a preteen absolutely over the edge.
You have been warned.
A little backstory for those who blocked this out the first time: The Unicorn Frappuccino debuted back in 2017 and basically broke the internet. It also infamously earned a scathing review from the late, great Anthony Bourdain, who told Town & Country magazine:
“[It’s] like four things I hate all in one sentence: Starbucks, unicorns, and the colors pink and purple.”
Sir, we miss you and you were absolutely not wrong.
But wait, there’s more: Some nail salons are already jumping on the trend, offering Unicorn Frappuccino manicures in those signature purple and blue shades — Starbucks logo included.
So yes. This weekend you can drink it and wear it. Just please be kind to the baristas, they apparently hate making them.
The Unicorn Frappuccino is available this weekend only, so manage your expectations — and your debit card.
