The purple stripe is back on Blake Street in preparation of home opener

The purple stripe is back! Our Colorado Rockies are taking on the Oakland Athletics Friday at 2:10 p.m. It’s the big home opener and, as is tradition, Crews with Denver’s Department of Transportation and Infrastructure painted a purple stripe down Blake Street from 19th to 22nd Streets. There are also a few Rockies logos along the way!
The tradition started back in 1995, when the Rockies had their very first home opener at Coors Field!
