Taylor Swift purchases masters for $360 million

Jun 2, 2025, 12:04 PM | Updated: 1:43 pm

It’s only sad that we do not have Reputation (Taylor’s Version) yet! Good for her and really good for other artists!

Taylor Swift has officially regained ownership of all her music after purchasing her masters back from Shamrock Capital for $360 million. In an emotional letter to fans, Swift expressed her joy and gratitude for the opportunity to own her music after years of struggle.

She thanked her fans for their support and credited them for helping her achieve this milestone. Swift also reflected on the significance of this moment and the hard work that went into rerecording and releasing her albums as Taylor’s Versions.

The sad part is that she had to pay for her own art. A lot of other new artists don’t have the team. This might make it easier for all!
