If you are like me it was an expensive holiday season. Here are some free and cheap things to do in January to help:

  • Regal Cinemas offers Mystery Movie Mondays, where audiences can see a new release at a discounted price, but the film is a surprise.

  • Del Taco is celebrating its 60th anniversary by offering Snack Tacos for 60 cents from Jan. 4 to March 6.

  • The Denver Zoo is offering free admission on select days in 2024, but tickets must be obtained online in advance.

  • The Colorado Symphony is hosting a tribute concert for Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. on Jan. 9, with free admission.

  • The National Western Stock Show is offering free grounds admission on Jan. 9, thanks to Arrow Electronics.

  • The Lafayette Oatmeal Festival on Jan. 13 offers a breakfast with nearly 100 toppings, with tickets priced at $9 for adults.

  • The National Park Service is waiving entrance fees to all parks and monuments on Jan. 15, and there are five more free days throughout the year.
