Singing Halloween Pumpkin Goes Viral for Lyrics That Are a Little Too Grown-Up

A talking jack-o’-lantern is getting attention online, and not because it’s cute.

Vice reports a singing Halloween decoration called Jabberin’ Jack recently went viral after people noticed one of its built-in songs sounds a little more “after the kids go to bed” than “family-friendly trick-or-treat fun.”

The pumpkin has an animated LED face and three songs. One of them, called “Wicked for One Night,” is reportedly about a “lonely pumpkin who wants to be loved.” Unfortunately, it also includes enough pumpkin-themed double entendres to make parents do that slow head turn across the room.

Mindscope Products has apologized and said the song will be removed from its 2027 product lineup.

So, if your Halloween decor suddenly sounds like it needs a cold shower, now you know why.
