Tammy Oakland

I grew up as an Air Force brat, but I’ve proudly called Colorado home for most of my life. I started my radio journey at just 17 years old, wearing a cat mascot suit for a rock station in the Springs and that’s where my passion for radio truly ignited! Since then, I’ve enjoyed an incredible 30+ year adventure on the Colorado airwaves.

My love for music has been a lifelong affair. I earned my degree in Music and Video Business from the Colorado Institute of Art here in Denver, and I’m also a professional musician. I sing, play guitar, bass, and keyboards.

Off the stage and out of the studio, I’m an avid animal lover. I share my home with an adorable dog named Phoebe, a bearded dragon named Pikachu, and two chirpy parakeets, Luna and Freya. My biggest passion is helping find homes for shelter animals and giving back to our community.  You can catch me on KOSI every weekday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
