Royal Gorge adds new Glass-Floor Gondolas

The Royal Gorge Bridge and Park just added two brand-new gondolas!  The twist…they’re the kind with a see-through floor. As someone who gets wobbly just thinking about heights, this is the definition of “face your fears.”  The ride glides you across the gorge for roughly 2,200 feet, suspended about 1,200 feet above the Arkansas River. Which means the views aren’t just out the window, they’re literally beneath your shoes the whole way.  If a glass-bottom gondola sounds like your personal nightmare, don’t worry: the park still has the classic gondolas, too. And the best part? A gondola ride is included with admission, with no added fee. They run year-round, as long as the weather cooperates.   If you need me, I’ll be the one gripping the handrail and pretending I’m totally fine.
