Rare dime sells for $500,000

Check your loose change because a rare U.S. dime just sold for more than half a million dollars at the GreatCollections Coin Auctions

.The 1975 dime was minted at the U.S. Mint in San Francisco.  It’s one of just two in existence without the mint’s distinctive ‘S’ mark.

Its whereabouts had been unknown for decades, until three sisters from Ohio revealed that it had been kept in a bank vault for the last 40 years.
