About a quarter of Americans think Friday the 13th is “unlucky”

Welcome to a Friday the 13th, outside of the movie franchise featuring Jason, many Americans consider today to be unlucky. A recent study said that 25 percent considers Friday the 13th to be unlucky. A few more stats that may surprise you are:
– 32 percent of women and 21 percent of men consider Friday the 13th to be unlucky
– 10 percent of people avoid traveling by train on Friday the 13th
– 16 percent of people avoid traveling by plane on Friday the 13th
– 11 percent of people refuse to stay in hotel room number 13 on Friday the 13th
– 37 percent of people won’t buy a house that has a number 13 in the address
On the positive side, air travel is roughly 14 percent cheaper today since so many people simply will not fly on a Friday the 13th.
