Pikes Peak just set the sweetest world record

This might be the most Colorado world record ever!

Pikes Peak has officially earned a Guinness World Records title for the most people simultaneously dunking doughnuts into coffee. According to the City of Colorado Springs, 285 people took part in the record-setting dunk Saturday.  The event was held as part of the celebration for Colorado’s 150th anniversary on Aug. 1. Guinness World Records confirmed the title after everyone dunked their doughnuts into coffee at the same time.    If you have never had the famous doughnuts at the top of Pikes Peak, add it to your Colorado bucket list immediately. They are warm, sweet and somehow taste even better at 14,115 feet.
So congratulations, Pikes Peak. A world record, mountain views and doughnuts? That is a pretty perfect Colorado day!
