Peyton Manning tackles new role: Working for Walmart.

Peyton Manning, the legendary quarterback, was recently announced as the unexpected host of the 2024 Walmart Associate Celebration in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

Manning had a long stint with the Indianapolis Colts, but he wrapped up his final four seasons with our beloved Denver Broncos, guiding them to a Super Bowl victory. It’s not shocking that Manning would lend a hand to the Broncos’ new owners, Walmart heir Rob Walton, his daughter Carrie Walton Penner, and her husband, Greg Penner, when they acquired the team in 2022.

As a gesture, Manning even gifted a lucky attendee a Broncos jersey adorned with his iconic number, 18.

Lizzo opened the celebration with renditions of some of her hit songs, adding shout-outs to Walmart in the verses. Imagine Dragons, Kacey Musgraves and the Backstreet Boys also performed.

Walmart workers from across the world are in Northwest Arkansas this week for the annual celebration and associate’s week.
