People are hoarding toilet paper again: Why you don’t need to do that

I’m not sure how many people buy toilet paper a little bit at a time, but it’s not perishable. When it’s on sale, you can by more than you need for this week.

Here we go again – a strike that threatens to disrupt the supply chain has Americans hoarding toilet paper like it’s 2020.

Many people are posting photos of empty toilet paper shelves to social media, after a dockworker strike shut down 14 ports across the eastern U.S.

But experts say there’s no need to worry, because most toilet paper is shipped on land, either from U.S. factories or from Canada or Mexico.

If there is any shortage of toilet paper now it’s because of panic buying.

Most of what the port strike will affect is perishable goods, like produce.
