Nintendo insists Mario and Princess Peach are just “good friends”

Given all the time Mario has risked his life to save Princess Peach, you’d think he’d get a little something for it. I always thought they were end game relationship goals, but that bubble is now burst!

According to a recent update on the Nintendo Today app, “Princess Peach and Mario are good friends and help each other out whenever they can.”

Wait, what? Way to ruin my childhood, Nintendo! Feel like Gen Z and elder Millennial kids are having a rough month already.

I choose to believe that in the end, they will get together like a Hallmark movie! You can’t stop me from having hope!
