New York Times names 3 Colorado restaurants among best in the country

Three restaurants in Colorado were named among the top 50 restaurants in the country in 2024, and two are in the Denver area. The New York times released a list of ‘America’s Best Restaurants in 2024’. Among the 50 restaurants decided throughout the year by it’s editors and reporters, three Colorado restaurants made the cut.
Yuan Wonton’s – This Asian restaurant in the North Park Hill neighborhood serves wontons along with other Chinese cuisine. This Denver spot opened about a year ago after spending four years as a food truck business. The list especially names Yuan Wonton’s homemade dough and the “hero” was the Jok, a Chinese congee with chicken, ginger and pickled bird’s-eye chile.
Sap Sua – This modern Vietnamese restaurant in the Congress Park neighborhood has won several awards since it opened in 2023. Sap Sua was named among Esquire and Bon Appetit’s best new restaurants. The New York Times specifically mentioned their Trung Va trung which is described as a soft scrambled egg, brown butter, fish sauce, trout roe and rice.
Meander Eatery – It’s a farm-to-table restaurant in the only spot in Colorado on this list that is not in Denver. The establishment is Pagosa Springs opened in 2022 and has since reached the eye of the New York Times.
