More people moved to Colorado from Texas than any other state in 2023

Colorado gained about 2132,663 people from stat-to-state migration in 2023, according to data released by the U.S. Census Bureau. It also lost around 211,370 residents to other states. This means that the Centennial state ultimately gained around 21,293 people,
Around 25% of all people who moved to Colorado from another state came from Texas of California in 2023. However, unlike in previous years, more people moved to Colorado from Texas than California.
The top five states people moved to Colorado from:
- Texas- 32,150 people
- California-26,148
- Florida-12,786
- Arizona-12,378
- North Carolina-10,351
Also around 35,910 people moved to Colorado from another country or a U.S. territory, like Puerto Rico or Guam
About 25% of people who left Colorado in 2023 went to one of three states, with 12% moving to Texas, 7% to California and 6% to Florida
