Major awards show not coming back in 2025

MTV has decided not to bring back their annual “Movie & TV Awards” show for the second consecutive year, with sources indicating that the event is currently “on pause” and its future uncertain.

The show was initially paused in 2024 with plans to return in 2025, but with recent changes in MTV’s parent company and major events being suspended, the fate of the awards show remains unclear.

The show had a successful run from 1992 to 2023, but its recent struggles raise questions about what lies ahead for the popular pop culture celebration.
