KOSI For The Cure

Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer for women and is the leading cause of cancer death among Colorado women. 1 in 7 women in Colorado will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. However, thanks to heightened awareness, early detection through screening, improved treatment methods and increased access to breast health services, people have a greater chance of survival than ever before.

Therefore, KOSI 101.1 is raising awareness in the fight against breast cancer.  Below are helpful links including local resources, support networks, and ways to join in the fight.

KOSI 101.1 is a proud partner of Susan G. Komen.  Visit their website below for comprehensive info on from awareness and detection to ways you can provide emotional and financial support:

Breast cancer treatment is an arduous road that can have numerous twists and turns. For some women, there are roadblocks before they can even get on the path to recovery. Health insurance is a common barrier to breast cancer care. But Susan G. Komen® Colorado helps pay for lifesaving treatment by funding grants to local nonprofits that provide the health care services. Kelli Ewalt benefitted from one of those grants, and she shared her story with Komen Colorado.

All of their Breast Imaging Radiologists are Board Certified, and most have completed at least a year of focused breast imaging training in addition to the traditional radiology residency. They provide professional breast imaging services at state-of-the-art, highly-regarded breast imaging centers throughout the Denver area.

3.     Innovative Technology.Personalized Care.

The latest in screening mammography technology is 3D Breast Imaging, also called Tomosynthesis. With Tomosynthesis, our Breast Imaging Radiologists can see more breast tissue from multiple angles, making a more precise diagnosis the first time. Results are fast and accurate.
