I am not exaggerating when I say this feels personally made for me: The Nightmare Before Christmas is coming to Gaylord Rockies in the form of a massive frozen holiday wonderland, and I am absolutely losing my mind!!!
Gaylord Rockies Resort just announced that its beloved holiday attraction ICE! will feature Disney Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas this season, and yes… Halloween Town is heading straight for the holidays in Colorado.
This brand-new frozen experience will be made from more than 2 million pounds of ice, which will be carved into scenes inspired by the 1993 holiday classic. A team of 30 master ice artisans will bring the attraction to life, creating a chilly, colorful, larger-than-life walk-through world filled with familiar faces.
Guests can expect to see a towering Jack Skellington, plus Sally, Zero, Dr. Finkelstein, the Mayor, Lock, Shock and Barrel, and the Halloween Town Band. The experience will also take visitors through areas inspired by Halloween Town, the Holiday Forest, and Christmas Town.
Basically, it’s spooky season and Christmas season holding hands…exactly as it should be.
The attraction is part of Christmas at Gaylord Rockies, which opens Friday, November 20 and runs through January 3, 2027.
And ICE! is just one piece of the holiday fun. Gaylord Rockies will also have plenty of festive activities this year, including:
- Candy Cane Mountain Snow Tubing
- Yuletide Street Market
- Build-A-Bear Workshop
- Ice Puck Challenge
And more holiday experiences throughout the resort
Whether you’re a Jack Skellington superfan, looking for a family holiday outing, or just want to walk through a frozen world that feels like Halloween and Christmas collided in the best possible way, this is going to be one of Colorado’s must-see holiday events.
