How Much Denver Area Parents Will Spend on School Supplies in 2023.

The National Retail Federation says this year will be the most expensive ever for back to school shopping. Americans will spend $41.5 billion on back to school supplies. That’s up from $36.9 billion last year. Other findings:

– the average family will spend $890 on school supplies or $25 more than last year

– 69% of families expect to buy at least one electronic item for this school year

– biggest reason why back to school supply prices are rising.. inflation followed by longer school supply lists
