Noooooooooooooooo I love her! I do appreciate her decision and wish her the best!
Hoda Kotb, co-host of NBC’s “Today” show, is leaving her position early next year. Kotb has co-hosted the program with Savannah Guthrie since 2017, replacing Matt Lauer.
She tearfully announced her departure on “Today,” citing the need to spend more time with her children.
Hoda joined NBC in 1998 as a correspondent on “Dateline” and later co-hosted the 10 am hour of “Today.” Guthrie expressed sadness at Hoda’s departure, calling her decision courageous.
Hoda’s exit is a significant change in the morning television landscape. NBC has not named a successor for Hoda yet. Hoda plans to remain part of the NBC family in some capacity.
Morning shows like “Today” and “Good Morning America” are crucial for their parent companies. Network executives manage transitions carefully due to the shows’ profitability and cultural significance.
