Goldie the goat offers firefighters support amidst Rock Creek Fire

Colorado, we have a new local celebrity, and she has hooves.

Meet Goldie, the goat who spent time with firefighters at the Rock Creek Fire last week and, apparently, took her job as trail guide very seriously. While crews worked long, exhausting hours, Goldie was nearby offering a little comic relief, some companionship and, let’s be honest, major main-character energy.

Now Goldie has her own Facebook page, and it is everything. Photos, updates, goat glamour…the whole thing. This goat is famous, and honestly, we get it.

Of course, the real heroes are the firefighters and first responders working so hard to protect people, homes, animals and our beautiful Colorado communities. We are so grateful for their bravery, endurance and heart. But if Goldie wants to boost morale and supervise the operation one hoofstep at a time, we fully support it.
