Boulder County Parks & Open Space needs volunteers for its Volunteer Ranger Corps.
If you enjoy hiking, biking, or horseback riding in Boulder County parks, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!
The Volunteer Ranger Corps is great for people who want to give back to the community while spending time outdoors. It is also a great experience if you are interested in careers like being a park ranger, community educator, or working in natural resources.
Volunteers visit parks and share information with visitors about recreational opportunities, facilities, trails, plants, wildlife, and regulations. With additional training, you can also hike the trails with your dog.
You might also help with special projects like visitor surveys or monitoring natural resources. You will also get to take part in advanced training sessions and meet land management professionals.
Volunteers need to be at least 18 years old and commit to at least 24 hours in the parks each year for two years. Training sessions are required and will take place on Saturday, June 8, and Sunday, June 9, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Hurry the application process closes tomorrow, Friday, May 17.
