Ford Amphitheater’s owner eyes a $350 million venue in Northern Colorado

May 8, 2026, 9:17 AM

The company behind the Ford Amphitheater in Colorado Springs is thinking bigger — and farther north.

Venu Holding Corporation announced Thursday (May 7) that it is in active discussions with several Northern Colorado municipalities about developing a $350 million-plus entertainment destination with a capacity of about 12,500 — roughly 50% larger than the 8,000-seat Ford Amphitheater that has been both a commercial success and a neighborhood headache since opening in fall 2024.

The proposed venue would feature multi-seasonal programming, immersive entertainment technology and premium hospitality offerings including private luxury suites and owners clubs, according to a press release from VENU. The company described the project as “a next-generation, multi-configurational entertainment venue” designed for concerts, festivals and corporate events year-round.

The company named Fort Collins, Greeley, Loveland and Boulder as part of the target market but stopped short of identifying which specific cities or counties are at the negotiating table. No site, construction timeline or full financing package has been disclosed.

Before Northern Colorado, VENU is first building in Centennial. A $75 million project will convert the former Celebrity Lanes bowling alley at 5755 E. Arapahoe Road into a 2,000-capacity music venue and restaurant/bar, with completion expected by mid-2027.
