Evergreen Lake opens ice skating rink.
The ice skating rink at Evergreen Lake is officially open for the winter.
The operating hours for the rink are from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays (Monday to Friday) and from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekends (Saturday to Sunday). However, these hours and days may be modified based on weather conditions and the state of the ice. To ensure the rink is ready for use, the ice needs to be at least 12 inches thick. Additionally, if it reaches a thickness of 16 inches, it can be smoothed and maintained by a Zamboni, which is a source of pride for the Evergreen Park and Recreation District.
Parking at Evergreen Lake House is limited and available on a first come, first served basis. Shuttles are available on the weekends and holidays at Stagecoach Park lower parking lot.
Skate rentals are available for $10 per pair.
For more information, prices and directions, or to check the ice conditions, call the skating hotline at 720-880-1391 or go to evergreenrecreation.com.
