Elijah Wood, from ‘Lord of The Rings’ franchise, to host rave in Denver

If you had “Frodo Baggins throwing a warehouse party in Denver” on your 2026 bingo card, congratulations. You’re weirder than I am, and I love that for you.
Elijah Wood — yes, the actual Elijah Wood — is descending upon the Mile High City this May to trade his Hobbit cloak for a turntable.
The DJ set itself takes place on May 31 at Cervantes’ Masterpiece Ballroom. Doors open at 7 p.m., and the performance begins at 8 p.m.
“This is a fantasy-themed event like no other — a full-blown ‘Lord of the Rings’ rave experience set to the sound of carefully curated vinyl selections. Costumes are encouraged, so dust off your cloaks and sharpen your elvish ears. Whether you are a devoted LOTR fan or simply a lover of great music and great vibes, Wooden Wisdom will transport you to Middle Earth and back,” said Cervantes Masterpiece Ballroom on the venue’s website.
Are we going to hear a remix of “The Lord of the Rings” soundtrack? Can we expect a glow-stick version of Gollum? Probably not, but a girl can dream.
In all seriousness, Wood has been moonlighting as a DJ for years alongside his partner Zach Cowie under the moniker Wooden Wisdom. They’re known for digging through obscure vinyl crates and playing sets that are actually…surprisingly cool.
Whether you’re a die-hard fan or just someone who enjoys a good, sarcastic “well, that’s unexpected” night out, it’s going to be a scene. Grab your tickets before they vanish into the shadow realm — or, you know, just sell out.
“The Lord of the Rings” team is celebrating the 25th anniversary of “The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Rings,” the first movie of the famous trilogy released in 2001.
Fan Expo Denver spans from May 29 to May 31 at the Colorado Convention Center in downtown Denver.
